#127 - Iron Man
Directed by Jon Favreau
2008 Action-Adventure
Rated PG-13
****
Led by lightning-fast performances from its male (Robert Downey Jr.) and female (Gwyneth Paltrow...wait, what?) leads, Iron Man has proved to be the first great comic book film of 2008. Hopefully the other ones (The Dark Knight, The Incredible Hulk, Wanted) can follow suit.

#126 - Aliens
Directed by James Cameron
1986 Science-Fiction/Action
Rated R
****
No, it's not as good as the original. But it IS actually more fun. While that was more of a terrifying psychological thriller, this is a pretty straightforward action film. Take it for what it is (cheesy 80s acting at all) and have a great time with it. Also, Newt is my new hero.
